Where It All Went Off the Rails

The origin of faulty hermeneutics can be traced back to Satan’s approach in the garden to God’s revelation. He introduces five errors: (1) He questions God’s word, Gen. 3:1; (2) misrepresents it, 3:1; (3) questions God’s motives, 3:5; (4) redefines the purpose for revelation, 3:5; and (5) completely contradicts the original message of revelation, 3:4.
